Energy Performance Certificates

As from the END OF JUNE 2008 the Government has announced that new European legislation is due to be implemented under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive requiring residential properties for sale to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
This means that all residential re-sale property currently on the market for sale and sales completed after the above date WILL REQUIRE an Energy Performance Certificate before any transaction can be completed.
Properties cannot be listed after the 30 JUNE 2008 without having a Energy Performance Certificate.
All our vendors must have an Energy Performance check carried out and furnish us with a Certificate which we will copy and attach to the brochure.
All newly constructed property will also require Energy Performance Certificates if sales are completed after 30 SEPTEMBER, 2008.
Commercial and residential lettings will require an Energy Performance Certificate from 30 DECEMBER 2008.
